VLM Methodology What follows is a listing of all the different data we incorporate to create a Virtual Life Simulation.
Obviously, the more data types we can correlate and validate, the better. However, very few OEMs can supply us with a complete representation of the above. Fortunately, even without this data, we have proven that VLM can be used to reach accurate conclusions about component performance with some basic design information and a few broken parts. At the heart of Virtual Life Management is VEXTEC’s proprietary method for predicting material behavior and life expectancy. This patented software allows us to simulate real material degradation. Our managed services team uses Virtual Life Management simulation to provide powerful answers to what has been until now, industry’s most impenetrable questions VEXTEC’s mission is to develop and provide simulation services throughout your enterprise that deliver cost-effective and accurate predictions of product life cycle behavior. VEXTEC replaces costly and time consuming physical testing with virtual testing and as a result, provides the answers business needs, but has rarely been able to get, not in years or months, but in hours. Since most system failures are ultimately material failures, extrapolating life cycle information from the material to the part, or to the entire product, or even to the whole fleet, means that for the very first time, your company executives can get real world life cycle information about whatever you’re building. Having this information is invaluable to every area of the company’s operations, from product design to engineering and manufacturing, to sales and marketing, and particularly, to finance. Because having this information means everyone can make better decisions based on knowing how your products, your parts, even your fleet is going to behave.
