News Melmon becomes VEXTEC Chief Strategic Officer Nashville , TN., Feb 14, 2005 - Richard (Rich) Melmon has joined VEXTEC as its new Chief Strategic Officer. Rich will be responsible for the commercial launch of VEXTEC’s evolving desktop computational reliability analysis (DCRM) software package. Mr. Melmon was responsible for commercial launch of the first spreadsheet application, Visicalc, and led strategic branding for launch of the Apple II computer product, while the General Manager of Regis McKenna, Inc. He co-founded Electronics Arts, now a $50 billion company and has led startup of many venture-based software companies. Most recently he co-founded the Net Service Ventures Group, specializing in the positioning of future technological competitive strategies for large Japanese-based companies. About VEXTEC VEXTEC will soon launch a new enterprise solution software package enabling reliability engineering to be approached at a new strategic level within the corporate organization and between companies, strategic partners and vendors. Manufacturers mastering the modern and updated version of the complexities of the art and science of reliability, will be able to execute at the corporate level with a new rational crispness like never before.
